We are pleased to welcome Sven Dressler, Principal Mine Landform Engineer, based in Newcastle, bringing specialist expertise to support the continued growth of SLR’s mine landform design capabilities.

Sven brings extensive expertise across mine closure, landform design and erosion assessment, with experience spanning geomorphic and traditional approaches from conceptual through to construction level. He also specialises in landform evolution modelling and has a strong numerical and programming background, developing new computational approaches and tools to address complex mine rehabilitation challenges.

Sven’s appointment will further strengthen SLR’s mine landform design capability, adding specialist expertise in geomorphic design and erosion assessment to continue supporting our clients in the sustainable management, rehabilitation and long-term performance of mined landscapes.

“I’ve always enjoyed tackling complex technical problems, particularly where engineering, numerical methods and mine rehabilitation come together. I’m looking forward to bringing that experience to SLR, working alongside the team and continuing to explore new applications for landform design and computational methods.”
Sven Dressler, Principal Mine Landform Engineer – Soils, Geochemistry, Toxicology & Risk, Asia-Pacific
