Biography

Chris has a diverse background in, and serious passion for, sustainability. During his PhD he studied polymeric material degradation and expected lifetime assessments, including the design, construction and use of bespoke testing equipment.

In his first industrial role Chris was lead R&D for new and novel metal recovery technologies, including commissioning and fault-finding for a new process on a customer’s very-high-value waste stream. Chris has since worked on a broader range of waste management processes such as battery and black mass recycling technologies, designing and building a pilot plant for de-risking upscale, the planning and building of a new oil recovery plant and the development of a new, safe process for recycling high-pressure nitrous oxide canisters.
