Status

The proposed facility triggers water uses under Section 21 (a,c, f, g and i) of the NWA. Thus, a Water Use License (WULA) process in terms of the
Regulations promulgated under Section 21 of the NWA is currently underway.

As part of the WULA process, SLR has compiled a Draft Integrated Water and Waste Management Plan (IWWMP), which is available for a 60-day review and comment period from 15 June to 14 August 2026 (exclusive of public holidays). This provides an opportunity for Interested and Affected Parties (I&APs) to comment on the water resource related aspects of the proposed project. A copy of the report is available for download below.
